WHY ARE WE LIKE THIS?!

Bf gets home to watch Guga foods.

Guga was watching cows in a field, next thing you know, it’s a piece of slab meat he’s talking about “having madd respect for.”

Me: “The respect would have been keeping the cow alive.”

My Bf: “Oh but Fuck the Fish?!” 🐟

Me: “Eh—they breathe different. They’ll be aight.”

The perfection complex that lies in us all. What makes me better than him if I still engorge myself in something that must die for me to survive.

This is what lies in the shadiest parts of my shadow. It took me awhile to become familiar with this. To accept this. To accept me.

I gave light. I gave love. I gave understanding.

By acknowledging these parts of who I am, I stepped into the best parts of me.
